Fireside chat: You implemented product: Now what?
At Thrivent, a Fortune 500 financial services organization, product transformation began portfolio by portfolio and team by team. While this accelerated activation of teams, it also created inconsistent practices, uneven maturity, and no shared definition of “good.” In response, Thrivent invested in product operations, elevating the Operating Model Enablement (OME) team to solve a critical problem: how to help teams continue to mature, not just implement the model. In this session, Dena Sands and Dakota Witte share how they use maturity insights, targeted coaching, and scalable enablement to help teams get unstuck and move forward. They walk through a practical system that connects baseline maturity insights to coaching plans—creating feedback loops that enabled teams prioritize the highest-impact improvements. They also explore how this approach is evolving product operations from team-by-team support to a system that enables continuous improvement across portfolios. Attendees will leave with practical ways to make maturity actionable, focus coaching on what matters most, and build product operations capabilities that scale improvement—not just adoption.
